I know i might be tickling lots of people by the title, but rest assured i am not joking ...
I have been associated with sales now for more than three years, that too in different kind of sales. Before that i was also in operations and after market. though my years of experience is not that much that i should be commenting like this, luckily all the sales i did was related to highest degree of toughness and so i learnt faster.
Why not ???? i mean sales as a profession gives you everything u want in life ......
1. Work life balance - There is no life ...... only work , so no need to balance.
2. Peace of mind - your mind becomes numb of the activities happening around - absolute peace.
3. Attention/respect - you will be wanted by so many dissatisfied customers, your dealers will be after your life due to less margins, your boss anyhow considers you useless and will not leave one minute of nagging, girlfriend/wife will be waiting to shoot you once you reach home(incase)...... gosh so much of importance in life
4. Career Growth - tell me bout this. this you will surely get. there will be growth reported in ur phone bills, petrol bills, stress levels, patience level, ignorance levels, anger levels ...... oh my god ...... i challenge if any other profession can show so much growth ......
5. Responsibility - ohh cmmon ..... if a product fails its you who will be responsible completely and if a product is success its the product responsible completely ........ if the targets are not met its you responsible completely and if the targets are met ... that was expected ( i mean the HQ guys are not dumb to set these easy targets) ......... heights of responsibilities ......

i know after reading my post you might plan to shift to sales ........ :) ..... i suggest .... take a deep breath ..... check if u have enuf balls to go through all that ...... coz inspite of writing all that , i will any day die for sales ..........

LOL ... i wudnt get into sales man :) for sure ... nt for any of the reasons stated above :) bt i dnt have the knack of convincing ppl into doing somethin which i myself might nt believe in :) i wud rather be the marketing guy preparing the strategy and making the sales team implement it ;-)
